I got pregnant with Melisa when I was 19 years old. I already had one daughter. When I was 6 months pregnant with Melisa, I tried to give myself an abortion at home. I ended up in the hospital because I was in alot of pain, bleeding and all my water had drained out. Doctors did not know if Melisa would make it or not. The Lord stepped in and my womb began to develope more water. Doctors did not know how this happened. Melisa was born in March and she is married and has a daughter, Skyla, my granddaughter. They are both Survivor Heroes!

Paloma is my sister. She is a UTEP student studying to become a earlychildhood teacher. Paloma is very involved in the Pro-life movement. She belongs to an on-campus group called Former Embryos For Life. They distribute information to students as well as become involved with the university. Let me tell you, she wears her national prolife shirts almost everyday to school. She also has a red patch on her backpack that says "survivor, since 1973 Roe vs. Wade" she carries prolife pamphlets inside her backpack and distributes them to her fellow classmates before or after class. She also carries with ther the little prolife action cards and places them in random places around campus, malls, or even doctor's offices. She is also friends with Karen, Karla, Gaby, Gilda etc. from El Paso, Texas, which also are very involved in the Prolife movement. Another thing is that she goes to pray outside the abortion mills and goes picketting in busy intersections of the city holding signs. She has also gone to local high schools around the area to distribute pamphlets and info to studets while holding up signs for them to see. Paloma has even proved some profesors wrong about their view on abortion. Paloma is a true survivor hero! I love my big sis!
